Saturday (19.10.2002) was the day
when were announced the winners in the different
categories in the XIVth international computer
art forum, new media and communications
"Computer Space 2002".
The Bulgarians
projecs had a strong competition with the
world famous artists, awarded on a big festivals
all over the world. More info for the awarded

of the "Computer Space '2002"

virtual center" meeting (in the
frame of the "Culture 2000" program
of the EU) took place in the CS 2002 frame
with participants form Greece, Germany,
France, United Kingdom and Slovenia.
252 projects
have been selected after the pre-selection
of almost 600 projects. The jury from three
different spheres: journalists from IT magazines,
experts from leading IT companies, academic
representatives (look at the Jury section)
assessed precisely all the registered projects
and evaluate them according the preliminary
announced criteria.
In 20.10.02
(Sunday) the awarded participants presented
their projects and answered to the audience
questions during the "Winners seminar"
in the Czech center (100 "Rakovska"
str.)
The accent
in these year projects in the category "Computer
animation & digital video" falls
into the clips based on music. In the "Electronic
& computer music" category we can
mark the strong enter of ethno elements
into the well-known styles like trance and
drum & bass. There are also some very
good projects in this category in the ambient
and experimental styles. In the sphere of
offline multimedia continues the started
a few years ago tendency of integration
of interactive animation as a part of the
methods to present the idea in more attractive
way. Although the offline multimedia steps
back form the web based multimedia. In this
year edition of the forum the registered
web sites are full of Flash animations,
sounds and graphics. In the "Computer
graphic & digital photography category"
the three dimensional projects are still
in the focus, but their quality is increasing
every year.
