For another year the international forum Computer Space starts projects registration. Traditionally the categories are: computer animation, computer graphics, computer and electronic music, offline multimedia and web design.

The registration takes place only online at the forum’s official web page - www.computerspace.org – and is free of charge until 31.08.2010.

This year also as usual the organizers have prepared a variety of prizes for the best and the most talented participants. The winners will be announced at an official awarding ceremony that will take place in the “Concert” hall of the National Military Club in Sofia, Bulgaria on 28.10.2010. In each category the three first projects are awarded and the nominees will be announced at the forums website in the beginning of October. The registered projects will be evaluated by an expert jury consisting of renowned professionals in the respective computer arts categories.

And this is not all – after the official awarding ceremony the festival’s programme will continue in the form of two whole days full of interesting and different seminars, workshops, installations, animation films screenings, exhibitions and many more entertaining and at the same time useful events appropriate both for our young and our more professionally oriented audience. And all these happening in only two days 29 – 30.10.2010 (Friday and Saturday).

Among the most attractive events in the programme is the seminar “New tendencies in computer animation” – a specialized seminar organized with the support of Goethe-Institut  Bulgaria. Participants in this seminar will be representatives of German computer animation studios and companies among which Studio SOI. Those who decide to attend this seminar will be delighted to get in touch with the German professionalism in the field and learn more about the most recent and popular projects developed by contemporary animators.

For the younger but not less enthusiastic admirers of the computer arts the organizers have prepared a training course on the topic “The method of robotics in the non-formal education” supported by “Youth in Action” Programme of the EC. During this workshop the young people will use robotic toys in order to learn to work better as a part of a team, to motivate a team, to present themselves in public etc. In the course youth from Bulgaria will have the chance to exchange good practices and experience with their peers from Germany, Italy, Latvia and Romania.

And last but not least – Computer Space also invites all those who are not experts or professionals in the field of computer arts but praise everything that is beautiful, innovative, modern and different to come to the events and screenings, to see the exhibitions and the installations and see with their own eyes how science, technology and art are combined in one phenomenon of our time called computer arts.

Computer Space 2010 is organized with the support of DirectorateCultureof Sofia Municipality, Goethe-Institut Bulgaria and a number of media partners, ICT companies and organizations.
