Press Release: “Computer Space 2008” awarded the winners in the XX edition PDF Print E-mail

The official awarding ceremony in the frame of the XX anniversary edition of the international forum for computer arts, modern media and communications “Computer Space 2008” took place on October, 31st (Friday) in the Central military club.


134 projects have been registered in Computer Space this year. They competed in the following categories: Computer graphics; Computer animation; Offline multimedia; Computer and electronic music; Web design: art and culture; Web design: society and institutions; Web design: entertainment and hobby; Web design: technology and market; Web design: information and media.

A competent jury, consisting of experts in the different fields of computer arts nominated 36 projects altogether. The awarded projects in the XX anniversary edition of Computer Space are:

Computer graphics:

1. Pavel Pavlov, “Illustration”

2. Gerasim Vitiakov, “Lifeline”

3. Hristo Dimitrov, “FENDER”

Computer animation:

1. Links Digiworks Inc., “KUDAN”

2. Amael Isnard, “Musicotherapie”

3. Mihail Popov, “Leave”

Offline multimedia:

There is no first place in this category

2. Attentive displays Ltd. – “Advertising Attentive Displays”

3. Jordan Tuzsuzov – “Biniax 2 – computer game"

Computer and electronc music:

1. Bob Zopp, “Eyes”

2. Megan Schneck, “Dawn”

3. Bob Zopp, “Electronna musica”

Web design: art and culture:

1. Yonko Tsvetkov,"Alphadesigner 11"

2. Yohannes Artinyan, “Maria Djelebova – photography”

3.RIZN-Communication design, "RIZN-Communication design"

Web design: society and institutions:

1. Bulgarian Kendo federation, “Bulgarian Kendo federation”

There is no second place in this category but there are two third places.

Association of Bulgarian villages, “Selo.BG, The spirit of Bulgarian village!”

Web design: entertainment and hobby:

1. Web Design Factory, “FS 8000”

2. RIZN – Communication design, “Puket – Events Studio”

Web design: technology and market:

1. ProjectMiso, “ProjectMiso”

2. I-Creative, “Rodopski kilim JSC”

3. Future media Ltd., Majestic Bay

Web design: information and media:

1. Web Design Factory, “Denik”

2. "PressFactory" Ltd. – “PressFactory”

There is no third place in this category.

The winners of first place in the respective categories were awarded the official statuette of Computer Space and the second and third places were awarded laptop bags granted by SCAS. The first place winners in each of the categories were awarded mobile phones Nokia E51 granted by Ministry of education and science. An award for e-government – a statuette - was given to the best project facilitating the development of the e-government in Bulgaria. All the second places in the web design category were awarded a subscription to the .NET magazine. Microsoft Bulgaria awarded all the first, second and third places in all categories Next generation Web – Developer Resource Kits; for the second places they granted wireless mice for laptops and for the third places – accessories.

Except for the traditional awards in the nine categories, 6 special awards were also given:

  • The e-government award was given to Lazar Ivanov for his website of Primorsko municipality
  • The Microsoft Bulgaria award for a project, carried out with Microsoft products was bestowed to seeLastMinute.com
  • The award for debut project was bestowed to Maya Milusheva from the category Offline multimedia.
  • Special awards iPods from BBS – Apple VAD were bestowed to the website for safer driving, Yohannes Artinyan and KALDATA.com.
